PowerCorp: A Dying Ship, a Silent Solar System, and a Long Way Home

PowerCorp is a single-player hard sci-fi space survival game for PC. Set in the year 2188, in our own solar system. You are returning to Earth from Jupiter's moon Io after a routine maintenance mission. Something wakes you from hypersleep. You wake to a crippled reactor. Your ship is dying, and every decision costs you power.

Power Is Everything

Every action draws from a reactor that will never be enough. Life support, thrusters, sensors and repairs all compete for the same shrinking budget. You need to manage complex systems, like the reactor, life support, navigation, scavenge for resources and find your way home.

Key Features

  • True orbital mechanics. Cross a real-scale solar system using Newtonian and Kepler physics. Plan your burns. Use gravity assists.
  • Pilot or command. Fly the ship directly with full Newtonian control, or manage it through an immersive terminal interface.
  • Systems under pressure. Power distribution, propulsion and life support are all simulated. Emergencies force brutal trade-offs.
  • Dock and Scavenge. Find stations and derelicts to collect resources, O2, Fuel, RCS fuel, materials and data to unveil what has happened to all of humanity.
  • Damage. Every mistake matters. Some mistakes end the run. Modular and realistic damage, where a hard docking procedure may end with hundreds of debris and an atmosphere leak due to a hull breach.
  • No two journeys alike. Procedural elements vary the challenges and encounters in each playthrough, while the central mystery remains.

PowerCorp is inspired by Delta-V: Rings of Saturn, Duskers, Tin Can and Kerbal Space Program. It aims to combine physics-driven simulation, terminal-driven tension and authentic orbital mechanics into one story-driven journey home.

Development Status

PowerCorp is built in the Godot engine. The project represents roughly six years of development and is currently in alpha playtesting.
